The Beginning: 1976
In 1976 Drs. Richard Feinbloom and Stanley Sagov started the Family Practice Group in Cambridge Massachusetts.
We did it because we love practicing family medicine , doing research and teaching medical students, residents and our colleagues about our medical specialty.
Our practice grew from our prior stewardship of the Family Healthcare Program, medical student residency, and fellowship training aspects of that wonderful innovative part of Harvard Medical School that we led before moving it to the Cambridge Hospital and then into the community.
We wrote a vision of the practice as we were planning in the mid 1970’s and it still looks quite innovative to us 5 decades later.
After 8 years , Richard moved on to lead other developments in Family Medicine in several locations and Stanley continued to work in our practice till his retirement in 2021.
